Evan Jarschauer, MAC, CAP, LMHC, MBA – Clinical Director
Evan has been working in the field of both substance abuse and mental health for over 15 years. He completed his clinical internship at the University of Miami School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and he completed his substance abuse certification training at the Hazelden Center for Addiction Studies.
He has worked with families from all across the country battling the disease of addiction with his own experiential solution-focused approach. While Evan is dedicated to helping each of his clients reach their own individual potential with dignity, clear direction, and attention to detail, he firmly believes that addiction is a family disease and encourages robust communication between all those concerned in the recovery process.
Matthew is a native of San Diego, California. Following a 25-year career in Mortgage Banking, representing various financial institutions such as Merrill Lynch, Charles Schwab, and Bank of America, Matthew changed directions and dedicated his life to alcoholics and addicts. On August 24, 2015, after countless visits to treatment centers, jails, mental hospitals, and detox centers, Matthew as finally able to turn his life around. Since then, he has shared his story in treatment centers, on television and radio, and in various forums through North Florida. In addition, he mentors other men in early recovery.
Matthew has been with Freeway Forward since its inception, and has excelled in every role including Office Manager, Treatment Placement Counselor, Director of Client Care, and now his current position as Vice President of Operations. He has a firm understanding of the vision and direction of Freeway Forward, and is always there to support the clients and staff.
Matthew enjoys everything Jacksonville Beach has to offer. He also enjoys cooking, music, and spending time with others in the local Recovery Community. Matthew also travels home to San Diego a few times a year to spend time with his family, who could not be happier to have him back.
Susan is a 5th generation native of Neptune Beach. She has worked in the medical field for over 20 years and has a passion for helping others. Although Susan is not in recovery herself, the cause is near and dear to her heart. Her daughter Brandy lost her battle with addiction in 2014 and left behind a daughter that Susan now helps support. Her purpose since this devastating loss has been to focus on helping individuals and families navigate the treatment process in the hopes that they can go on to lead happy and healthy lives.
As a native beach resident, Susan enjoys anything that has to do with the sea. Her hobbies include working in the garden and spending time on the sand with her granddaughter, Layla.
Amy joins Recovery Coast with extensive experience in educating clients and families in acute and outpatient settings. She has a passion for people and families struggling with substance abuse and is devoted to the cause, as she herself is in recovery. Amy believes in treating the entire person and tailoring needs based on the individual and the family.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Valdosta State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences from The University of Florida. Recovery is the number one priority in her life and she has had the privilege in sponsoring other women in alcohol and drug recovery.
Amy has two teenage daughters and two dogs. Amy connects spiritually at the water’s edge on the Atlantic Ocean. When not at work she can be found stand up paddle boarding or combing the sand for shark teeth and sea glass.
Federico (Rocko) Bravo II, originally from Houston, TX, has lived in the Sunshine State for the past fifteen years. Rocko graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 2015 from the Florida State College at Jacksonville and is currently continuing his education in Mental Health Counseling in hopes to assist those who struggle with substance abuse. Rocko brings business knowledge, effective communication skills, and a passion for sobriety to Recovery Coast.
When Rocko is not working, he loves to spend time with his wife and two dogs, spend time on his own sobriety, play disc golf, and take his boat out on the river.
