Evan Jarschauer, MAC, CAP, LMHC, MBA – Clinical Director
Evan has been working in the field of both substance abuse and mental health for over 15 years. He completed his clinical internship at the University of Miami School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and he completed his substance abuse certification training at the Hazelden Center for Addiction Studies.

He has worked with families from all across the country battling the disease of addiction with his own experiential solution-focused approach. While Evan is dedicated to helping each of his clients reach their own individual potential with dignity, clear direction, and attention to detail, he firmly believes that addiction is a family disease and encourages robust communication between all those concerned in the recovery process.

Amit Vijapura, MD

Since completing his residency training at Mount Sinai Health Systems, Dr. Amit Vijapura has been practicing as a Board-certified psychiatrist at this location since 1991. He has additional expertise in Addiction Medicine and has been at the forefront in the development and testing of novel delivery systems of buprenorphine for the treatment of opioid addiction.  He has stayed well-connected with the local community through his role as President of the Jacksonville Psychiatric Society since 2012. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Vijapura has been actively involved as a principal investigator for over 30 clinical trials for the development of novel therapies to help patients struggling with mental illness and addition.  Simultaneously, Dr. Vijapura has made significant contributions to several advisory boards focusing on drug development and disease state education at the national level.  He enjoys teaching senior psychiatry residents at the University of Florida.

Matthew Seaman – General Manager
Matthew is a native of San Diego, California, where he began a 25 year career in Mortgage Banking, representing various financial institutions such as Merrill Lynch, Charles Schwab, and Bank of America. After overcoming his own struggles with addiction, Matthew has dedicated his life to helping other alcoholics and addicts.
Matthew has been very involved in a local Sober Living organization, which is where he himself was able to get sober, and continues to provide support whenever possible. He has also developed a firm foundation in the local recovery community, sponsoring others in early recovery, and taking meetings and sharing his story in treatment centers throughout the Jacksonville area.
Recognizing the importance of the spiritual aspect of recovery, Matthew continues to explore his faith. He hopes to go on a mission trip to South America in the near future. He also continues to further his education, and looks forward to reaching his goal to become an addiction counselor.
Amy Young – Treatment Placement Counselor

Amy joins Recovery Coast with extensive experience in educating clients and families in acute and outpatient settings. She has a passion for people and families struggling with substance abuse and is devoted to the cause, as she herself is in recovery.  Amy believes in treating the entire person and tailoring needs based upon the individual and the family.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Valdosta State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences from The University of Florida. Recovery is the number one priority in her life and she has had the privilege in sponsoring other women in alcohol and drug recovery.

Amy has two teenage daughters and two dogs. Amy connects spiritually at the water’s edge on the Atlantic Ocean. When not at work she can be found stand up paddle boarding or combing the sand for shark teeth and sea glass.
