Evan Jarschauer, MAC, CAP, LMHC, MBA – Clinical Director
Evan has been working in the field of both substance abuse and mental health for over 15 years. He completed his clinical internship at the University of Miami School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and he completed his substance abuse certification training at the Hazelden Center for Addiction Studies.

He has worked with families from all across the country battling the disease of addiction with his own experiential solution-focused approach. While Evan is dedicated to helping each of his clients reach their own individual potential with dignity, clear direction, and attention to detail, he firmly believes that addiction is a family disease and encourages robust communication between all those concerned in the recovery process.

Amit Vijapura, MD

Since completing his residency training at Mount Sinai Health Systems, Dr. Amit Vijapura has been practicing as a Board-certified psychiatrist at this location since 1991. He has additional expertise in Addiction Medicine and has been at the forefront in the development and testing of novel delivery systems of buprenorphine for the treatment of opioid addiction.  He has stayed well-connected with the local community through his role as President of the Jacksonville Psychiatric Society since 2012. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Vijapura has been actively involved as a principal investigator for over 30 clinical trials for the development of novel therapies to help patients struggling with mental illness and addition.  Simultaneously, Dr. Vijapura has made significant contributions to several advisory boards focusing on drug development and disease state education at the national level.  He enjoys teaching senior psychiatry residents at the University of Florida.

Susan Kessler – Board Certified Nurse Practitioner

Since graduating from LSU Medical Center School of Nursing in 1990, Susan has been practicing as a board-certified nurse practitioner in the state of Florida.  She provides psychiatric medication management, evaluation, and treatment for adults.  Working with people to assist them in improving their quality of life is what she enjoys most about her job.

Matthew Seaman – Vice President of Operations
Matthew is a native of San Diego, California, where he began a 25-year career in Mortgage Banking, representing various financial institutions such as Merrill Lynch, Charles Schwab, and Bank of America. After overcoming his own struggles with addiction, Matthew has dedicated his life to helping other alcoholics and addicts.
Matthew has been very involved in a local Sober Living organization, which is where he himself was able to get sober, and continues to provide support whenever possible. He has also developed a firm foundation in the local recovery community, sponsoring others in early recovery, and taking meetings and sharing his story in treatment centers throughout the Jacksonville area.
Recognizing the importance of the spiritual aspect of recovery, Matthew continues to explore his faith. He hopes to go on a mission trip to South America in the near future. He also continues to further his education and looks forward to reaching his goal to become an addiction counselor.
Susan Asid – Director of Finance

Susan is a 5th generation native of Neptune Beach.  She has worked in the medical field for over 20 years and has a passion for helping others.  Although Susan is not in recovery herself, the cause is near and dear to her heart.  Her daughter Brandy lost her battle with addiction in 2014 and left behind a daughter that Susan now helps support.  Her purpose since this devastating loss has been to focus on helping individuals and families navigate the treatment process in the hopes that they can go on to lead happy and healthy lives.

As a native beach resident, Susan enjoys anything that has to do with the sea.  Her hobbies include working in the garden and spending time on the sand with her granddaughter, Layla.

Amy Young – Primary Counselor

Amy joins Recovery Coast with extensive experience in educating clients and families in acute and outpatient settings. She has a passion for people and families struggling with substance abuse and is devoted to the cause, as she herself is in recovery.  Amy believes in treating the entire person and tailoring needs based on the individual and the family.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Valdosta State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences from The University of Florida. Recovery is the number one priority in her life and she has had the privilege in sponsoring other women in alcohol and drug recovery.

Amy has two teenage daughters and two dogs. Amy connects spiritually at the water’s edge on the Atlantic Ocean. When not at work she can be found stand up paddle boarding or combing the sand for shark teeth and sea glass.

Kosoma May – Treatment Counselor
Kosoma is a University of North Florida alumnus and Sociology Club member with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology as well as minors in Political Science and Professional Education.  She is currently working on her Master’s degree in Criminal Justice and obtaining her Certified Addiction Professional certification.  Kosoma has worked extensively with children and adults in the field of substance abuse and mental health for over 10 years.  She has previously worked in state and private facilities as well as residential and outpatient treatment centers.
Kosoma has been fortunate to experience her cultural background by traveling overseas throughout all of Asia.  She enjoys reading books and writing short stories.  She stays busy with her daughter and plans to obtain her Doctorate in Social Work in the near future.
Brandon Jackson – Client Care Manager
Brandon Jackson is a native of Jacksonville, Florida.  He has an immense passion for caring and helping individuals to overcome life’s obstacles.  From the age of 16, Brandon faced a troubled childhood which included incarceration and legal issues, all of which stemmed from his active addiction.  Through his hardships and challenges, he has gained incredible insight and wisdom which allows him to use his story as a living testimony to help influence people in a positive direction.  Throughout his incarceration, Brandon developed a unique life coaching approach.  This has allowed him to utilize his creative strategies and solutions to produce proven results for people with similar struggles.  His overall goal is to continue to be able to impact, influence, and leave an imprint on other people’s lives as well as helping them to overcome any challenges they may face.
When he is not giving back to others, Brandon is an avid boxer who enjoys working out and spending time at the beach with friends.
Logan Lampert – Regional Treatment Placement Manager

Jeffrey Logan Lampert is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio.  He has experience and has worked with may treatment facilities, detox facilities, and other institutions for over ten years.  After overcoming his own struggles with addiction and controversial rehab facilities, Logan has dedicated himself to helping others that struggle with addiction.  His time, passion, and heart are fully committed to helping others receive not only the help they need but the right facility that matches their history and present struggles.  Logan is currently studying psychology and is due to receive his degree in the very near future; he hopes to one day become an independent drug and alcohol counselor for troubled youth.

Logan is very passionate about spirituality and improving his beliefs and passions.  He is a huge fan of sports and volunteers around the community to help others with addiction/behavioral issues.  Logan is hands-on and loves to interact with others face to face; he believes that through being open about his own past, he can help others to open up about their issues in order to get the help they need.

Lucas Stilianos – Regional Treatment Placement Manager

Lucas comes to Recovery Coast with marketing experience within the architectural design industry and has also worked as a sales brand ambassador in the beverage industry.  Lucas is excited to bring his knowledge and experience to Recovery Coast.

Lucas is a recent graduate of Clark University in Worcester, MA, with a degree in Management and Marketing.  In his spare time, he enjoys classical music, golfing, boating, and spending time with family.

Aisha Shepard – Senior Client Care Coordinator

Aisha served in the United States Army from 2003 to 2009 and obtained the rank of Sergeant.  She has an AA in Criminal Justice from Florida State College at Jacksonville and she has also obtained her Medical Assistant diploma from Advanced training in El Cajon, California.  She illustrates her passion by helping others and putting herself on the front line to serve our country.  Aisha demonstrates strong communication and leadership skills.

Aisha continues to further her education by becoming a Registered Nurse.  Aisha is the proud mother of a little five-year-old girl.  She enjoys spending time with her family, playing sports, and traveling.

Millie Tanner, RD, CDE – Nutrition Therapy
Millie is a registered and licensed dietitian who obtained her BS degree from Purdue University in 1983.  She is a Certified Diabetes Educator and has over 30 years’ experience in clinical dietetics in both inpatient and outpatient hospital, cardiac rehabilitation, nursing home, and local primary care clinic settings.  She currently works at Baptist Medical Center-Beaches Hospital.
Millie also has extensive experience in medical practice administration and is currently the practice administrator of Beaches Addictive & Behavioral Health.  She works with an addiction certified physician, Dr. John C. Tanner, her husband since 1986.  Dr. Tanner’s website can be found here.

She enjoys fitness, competing in various triathlons and running events, training with her friends, cooking and eating various cuisines, as well as traveling.  She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Jacksonville Dietetic Association, and Jacksonville Track Club.
Satya Dillard – Yoga Instructor
Satya is a Certified Yoga Alliance Instructor, E-RYT 200, RYT 500, and a Certified Meditation Coach.  She studies a variety of disciplined meditation and yoga practices.  Satya has spent the last decade of her life on an extensive spiritual journey that has empowered her to overcome many fears in her life and ultimately finding self-love.
Satya leads her life by her intuition and honoring her intention to help others become more conscious within becoming more consciously aware.  Satya feels truly honored to be able to live out her Dharmic purpose.  Satya is so thankful that she can reach out to as many people as she does by sharing how powerful yoga and meditation can be as a means to dwell in a state of inner balance.  More information about Satya and the services she provides can be found here.
JB Frank – Rocker in Recovery
JB Frank is a founding member of the multi-million unit selling band Kingdom Come.  They toured the world many times over, doing stadium tours with many famous bands such as Van Halen, Metallica, Bon Jovi, Ratt, and many others.  Frank’s comprehensive knowledge of frequency healing, music therapy, and addiction is on display through his cutting-edge scientific method of treatment that he provides at Recovery Coast.
